Q: Tell us about yourself!
A:  I am from Tamilnadu, a state in the South of India. I came to the US in 2010 and lived in 3 different states before moving to California. My family is filled with love and laughter with my husband and three funny, smart, and beautiful daughters. I joined Kitestring in December 2022, and my position is a Software engineer.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: I enjoy taking a walk in the evenings and going on hikes to state parks with my family. I also volunteer as a teacher to teach kids about our roots, Indian culture, and heritage.

Q: What led you to this career? Were you influenced by anyone or anything?
A: I have always enjoyed puzzles and problem-solving right from my childhood, and becoming a developer was, I guess, my natural calling. Ever since I started coding, I have always been fascinated by what all can be accomplished by a few lines of code.

Q: What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
A: I learned how to make spring rolls, and my family loved it.

Q: What keeps you motivated?
A: I believe even during difficult times that better things are on the horizon, and I must make the best out of what’s in front of me now, be it at work or in life.

Q: Where is your favorite destination to travel to, and why?
A: Yosemite during winter. I love nature, the holiday season, and snow especially. Yosemite during winter is pure bliss.

Q: What do you do to unwind after a busy day?
A: I love going on a walk in the evening, feeling the breeze, and it relaxes me. If I am not doing that, then I love spending time with my family playing board games.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A: Never lose courage or faith in the face of adversity and you will emerge stronger.

Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
A: Lincoln Lawyer

Q: What do you like most about working at Kitestring?
A: The People. They make working at Kitestring so enjoyable and also inspire me to do better. Everyone is so approachable, friendly, and always ready to help.

Q: Who inspires you and why?
A: My mother and my kids. I learned to never give up from my mother, and I learn many new things from my kids every single day, they inspire me to be the best at everything I do.
