Q: Tell us about yourself!
A: My family and I are from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. I have an 18-year-old daughter named Valeria, a 20-year-old son named Jesus, and my wife Adriana. I have been an IT consultant with Kitestring for two years.

 

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: Spending time with my children and wife is the best; I also enjoy practicing triathlon and reading.

 

Q: What led you to this career?
A:
Technology has been a fascination of mine since I was a kid, mainly because it is amazing to me how we can create tools to facilitate our daily lives.

 

Q: What have you been most proud of accomplishing since joining Kitestring?
A: I’m really proud of what my daughter and son have achieved in the last five years.

 

Q: What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
A:
How good data management can lead any company to success with a good strategy.

 

Q: What keeps you motivated?
A:
My son and daughter are my engines to live day by day.

 

Q: Where is your favorite destination to travel to, and why?
A:
Mexico has so much culture and beautiful beaches. My favorite places in Mexico are Huasteca Potosina, Yucatán, Cancún, and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo.

 

Q: What do you do to unwind after a busy day?
A:
Swimming and running are my best routine, and some basic yoga.

 

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A:
This advice comes from my parents: With hard work, stubbornness, and perseverance, you will achieve any goal you set for yourself.

 

Q: What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
A:
Data Science got my attention right now, and I’m reading “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig.

 

Q: What do you like most about working at Kitestring?
A:
Our leaders and my peers are really amazing and have a lot of expertise. Most importantly, all of them clearly believe that family is first and foremost.

 

Q: Who inspires you and why?
A:
My parents and my children, because no matter how hard an obstacle is, they always come out ahead.

 

Q: What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
A:
I love dancing salsa and bachata (Latin rhythms).
